Easter 2025 - Seller Fulfilled Prime - Easter Sunday is not a public holiday but couriers are not operational
As per previous years Amazon Seller Fulfilled Prime will be expecting sellers who operate on a Sunday to despatch as normal on Easter Sunday.
Easter Sunday is not technically a public holiday - it was never fixed as such when Sunday started being a working day for many.
As this normally takes several months to fix - can we please have the assistance of the forum admin team in getting Sunday 20th April added to the list of non-operational days.
this was discussed and fixed last year for 2024 but has not been fixed yet for 2025

DPD have now clarified, that they will NOT be working on:
18/4/25 - Good Friday.
20/4/25 - Easter Sunday.
21/4/25 - Bank Holiday Monday.
They WILL be working on 19/4/25 Easter Saturday, and anyone can request that they collect on the saturday, rather than the Sunday, by contacting Seller Onboarding.

Last year I changed my shipping settings for the easter weekend. I moved from a Sunday collection to a Saturday collection. DPD collected on the Saturday and all was good.
I am certain that if Amazon expect collections on Easter Sunday, even if the carrier that amazon tell us to use, does not work on that day there will be a performance drop issue.
History tells me that no matter the reason for the performance drop (assuming it drops below the target %) Amazon will suspend the Prime badge (not the selling account just the selling privileges of prime) until the seller proves this is a carrier/Amazon issue. That normally takes 4/5 days even if a case is opened before the performance drop notification is sent.
I speak from bitter experience.

Easter Sunday is not a public or bank holiday, but it is a non-operational day for many businesses. - there was a gap in the statute in 1994 when the Sunday trading laws were adjusted for retail businesses in that although large shops are prohibited from trading on Easter Sunday - no additional protection was applied for other workers.

I used to go round in circles with Seller support with it,
The main thing I got was that our on time delivery metrics were below 97% over 7 days and over 30 days.
Most cases were due to the courier Amazon Shipping not coming though but it made no real difference to them, was just a waiting game really and waiting a good week or so for the metrics to improve.

Ours has been like it for over a year and our metrics can be at 100% for weeks and nothing changes. It's so frustrating and nobody seems to know how to resolve it. Thanks anyway!
