Post office refusing packages that are still "First Class" with amazon provided shipping.
We use Amazon provided shipping for all our shipments. A lot of them are still printing as "First class" and the local post office has just started to refuse to take any packages that are still First class postage.
Anyone else experiencing this?
Any suggestions what to do for this?

According to @KJ_Amazon, the grace period has been extended again, to October 31st. In this linked post, they stated to let them know if your local PO wasn't accepting them.

When First Class comes up as the first choice, click the url to change it. The one immediately below it is the appropriate Ground Advantage one for the same rate.

A lot of my orders are still coming up with first class as the first option. I have to do a search for the word "first" to help avoid purchasing first class postage. It is ridiculous to have to change each and every one of those to USPS Ground Adv service. If I miss one, I risk USPS refusing to ship the package. All other platforms had everything good to go on day one of the original USPS deadline date. Amz must have some "$$" reason to not have fixed this aggravation by now!!!

Today is 10/5/2023 and our post office took 52 first class Amazon labels with no problem.

I am still using the first class option for all mine as amazon still hasnt fixed the label configuration. Im not holding my breath they will actually fix this btw as they still havent fixed the priority mail cubic configuration and that has been years

YES! Use USPS GROUND ADVANTAGE.
You will discover that you get the same Delivery Confirmation as First Class, and when you insure your package (declared value), the Ground Advantage is actually LESS than First Class.
I have also discovered that USPS GROUND ADVANTAGE has taken-away a GREAT many packages that would normally have shipped USPS PRIORITY and even UPS GROUND.
Now, ONLY the LARGEST of packages go UPS / FedEx, and USPS GROUND ADVANTAGE gets ALL the rest!
Problem solved!

Choose a different shipping option.

To those who are still using the First Class Package and do have the Ground Advantage label available (and can print it), you may want to switch to using the Ground Advantage as the label includes $100 insurance for the same cost.

Another issue of note...
Normally when I ship to APO/FPO Military addresses, it auto populates the customs form info and lets me know I have to do it separate from the other orders. TODAY it let me select Ground Advantage (after clicking off First Class), and then DID NOT provide any customs form info. I didn't notice it was an FPO until AFTER it printed. I'm going to see if the post office will let me do the digital customs form and print and slap on that label, or if I will just have to hand fill out the customs form, but this is super annoying to have to deal with. Thankfully im an experienced shipper and KNOW I have to have a customs form on these orders.
Any mods wanna address this? I can't be the first person in 3+ months to experience an APO/FPO address...
What is everyone doing in this situation?

Hi @Seller_zOtijd7VQFuHa,
Dominic from Amazon here, happy to help! @Seller_LImVvUWeyiCfQ is correct:
USPS approved an extension on the grace period for purchasing USPS legacy services, including First Class and Parcel Select.
The grace period now extends through October 31.
Please let me know if you experience any difficulty from your local USPS office regarding this extended grace period, such as First Class packages not being accepted. If so, we will ask our USPS partners to make sure the update has been shared with that location.
Best,
Dominic
