Buyer accidently returned wrong item - what is best way to handle?
-FBM Order (higher cost item, NOT refund at first scan)
-Buyer opened return request for “item defective or doesn’t work”
-Buyer returned item to us but it was a totally materially different product than what we sent.
-We contacted buyer saying she may have accidently sent us the wrong item. Buyer confirms she sent us the wrong item and verified the return request was for a similar but other item from a different vendor. The return request should have been for the other vendor. Buyer likes and is keeping the item that we sent her. Buyer provided me with a new return label to ship the wrong item to the correct vendor(she opened a new return request with the correct vendor.)
What is best way for me to handle this? Do I do the 100% restocking fee/refund $0.01 but then I don’t think I would be able to file a Safe-T claim for the return shipping cost($57) since it won’t be eligible for a Safe-T claim since I refunded her something.
Or do I just wait for Amazon to automatically refund her(after a few days) and then file a Safe-T claim for the whole refund plus the return shipping. I have pictures of the incorrect item that was returned and evidence through amazon’s message system that she sent us the wrong item? But don’t know if I totally trust the Safe-T claim process. Or are there any other options? Thanks!

The buyer has the product and wants to keep it. There is no way to recover the cost of the return shipping label.
