Valid Tracking Rate Issue

Our Valid Tracking Rate has dipped down below 95%, however I can not determine why. After downloading the report, I am seeing that 65% of the packages that were flagged as "Invalid Tracking" were submitted to Amazon with a valid tracking number on time. They are mostly UPS tracking numbers, with a few FedEx.

My confusion is that 93% of "valid tracking rates" are submitted exactly the same and are also UPS or FedEx tracking numbers. Does anyone know a way to dig into this deeper to determine why this subset of shipments is being flagged?

I'm guessing that you are doing FBM since Amazon is obviously "perfect" (sarcasm intended).

One possibility would be if the wrong shipping provider OR SHIPPING METHOD is clicked if you are doing manual entry of the numbers.

I don't use any automated or linked entry on here because I might print labels at 9am and they don't go to the PO/UPS until 5pm and I don't want all those impatient 'buyers' asking why they have tracking but UPS doesn't have the package!

Recheck the numbers that automatically posted to the orders. Paste the tracking numbers in at ups.com tracking and make sure the number works. If you are lucky, maybe for some reason the last digit dropped off and all you need to do is re-enter it onto the order. You are right ... it doesn't make sense, but strange things happen all the time with a system this huge.

Hey @Seller_Em5tVHtbaBMBC, I'm happy to look into this with you!

Have you downloaded the report to verify the tracking details associated? Did you verify that the information was inputted to the order correctly? For packages shipped from US, Amazon considers a valid tracking ID if Amazon records at least one carrier scan.

VTR only considers packages you have shipped and confirmed over a 30-day period, so this metric will refresh quickly.

If you have opened a case with Seller Support, let me know the case ID so that I may review the details.
