Error message with adding SKU under variations
I am trying to upload a new product with amazon and under the variations tab I chose variation type to color and set my color variants. However, when I get to the bottom and have to put the data in, I get an error message when I put the UPC in for each product ID saying "The SKU does not match any ASIN and contains invalid values for attributes required for creation of a new ASIN." I tried multiple variations in the Seller SKU but it will not accept it. Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Couple of questions:
- were these UPC codes issued by GS1?
- how long ago were they issued?
- does the info you are entering match what is in GS1?
