Amazon SCAMMING us for every missing unit in their warehouse – Reimbursements of 1/10th of the value of product
Has anyone else been dealing with Amazon blatantly underpaying on reimbursements for missing inventory?
We've been experiencing a recurring problem with Amazon’s reimbursement process for items that go missing in their warehouse. Instead of reimbursing us the full retail value of our products, Amazon is reimbursing barely a fraction of the actual value—sometimes as low as 1/10th of what the product is worth!
For example:
Amazon is offering insultingly low reimbursements, nowhere near the actual market value we sell the products for.
They seem to be trying to rip sellers off by paying us pennies on the dollar for lost inventory, even when it’s clear that the product’s MSRP and real market value are significantly higher.
It’s beyond frustrating that despite providing all the necessary documents, proving the value of our products, and citing Amazon's own reimbursement policies, we are still being lowballed.
Anyone else feeling scammed by this process? I’d love to hear how others have dealt with this and if anyone has successfully fought back to get the full value of their lost inventory reimbursed.
We have over a dozen cases like this...

I had the same case, the response from Amazon was for me to wait for an investigation, but it's been 22 days and still nothing!

Sadly a lot of sellers are experiencing "lost" or "missing" units. Some of us think it's theft on Amazon's end.
Nothing will never get done about it and shame on Amazon for continuing to allow this to happen and not reimburse sellers the entire value of their products.
Just a friendly reminder that opening multiple cases only delays your case.
Best of luck!

From what I can tell from our reimbursements, is Amazon is keep all the referral fees and the FBA fees since they picked and packed and shipped the orders.
The customer paid full price, gets all of their money back, but yet the sellers gets scammed out of money (as usual).
Amazon wins because they still get their money (fees). This is absolute theft and bs.

LIQUIDATIONS! This sounds like liquidations which is what Amazon did to us last year. They changed return pages and defaulted to their benefit. This could be different but we had FBA items retailed at $300 and the reimbursement was less than $5!

Ship your own products, when you add up placement fees, long term storage fees and all the additional returns for FBA it is cheaper to warehouse and ship your own stuff, sorry about your losses.

Got to love it. They broke one of my videogames where the lowest listed price on it was like $7 and gave me a measly $2.50. Like, just why? Probably their cute way of still charging us fees that would normally happen if it had sold so even though they're 100% at fault, they still get theirs. Can't wait to see how little they give me on a shipment they lost worth a bit over $3500 retail/buybox.
