How to get product info by ASIN?
Hi all .
I am very new to Amazon Platform so I am kind of lost and hope you can direct me to the right place.
What I want to do is simple: to programmatically get product info by ASIN. More specifically, when I input ASIN into a textbox on my webpage, I want the product’s name to appear next to it. It’s just that simple.
My questions are:
- Which API provides this function? MWS or SP?
- I have been able to register a seller account and a developer account. When I try to create a new APP, I can only choose SP API as app type. Why is that? How can I enable other app types?
- Is there any documentation or tutorial regarding getting product info by ASIN?

For now you can use the MWS Products API, but will have to switch the the SP-API by the end of 2023.

So apparently they won’t allow you to use MWS.
