Amazon account deactivations due to duplicate account creatoin in error.
Hello I have created this discussion to try to assist another Amazon seller who is a brand new seller who is unable to get the help needed for their problem. This problem happened about 1 month ago.
The issue is that several years ago they created an Amazon business account with their tax ID under their business name which they were approved for and the account was opened. However they never listed any products and the account was left dormant and forgotten about by the seller (business owner).
Several years later they decided to open an Amazon account ( not remembering they had created one years ago) and used the same tax ID information and Business information. After opening this account they then received an email to both their new account and to the email used on the old account that both accounts had been deactivated due to having duplicate accounts. This lead them to understand that they had the old account from years past. The email states to answer the question if the account belongs to them and if the information provided matches of which they answer yes. At this point they are told to go to the old account and in order to reinstate the account they need to provide an Affidavit notarized they are the business and account holders. When they sign into the old account they are told the exact same thing which they need to perform on the accidental 2nd account they created.
In other words the are caught in a loop hole which keeps telling them to go to the other acount and perform the required actions. They tried to reply back to the email they received from Amazon but it is not able to accept replies. Is there a phone number or an email link they can contact to try and rectify this issue? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated that I can pass on to them .

I see that you are posting on behalf of another seller that is experiencing difficulty resolving a multiple accounts policy violation on each of their accounts. I am here to provide support in any way I can.
So that I can look into this, I will need a case log ID from one of their accounts. Please post the case ID(s) here and I will work with our partner teams to learn what will be required to get this resolved.
