URGENT: Human Ingestible Category Approval Denied – Appeal Still Under Review
Hello,
We recently listed two similar products under the Grocery & Gourmet category on Amazon Germany. For the first product, we were prompted to request approval under the Grocery & Gourmet Foods category. That application was approved without issue and the ASIN is now live.
However, for the second product—which is similar in nature—we were asked to apply for Human Ingestible category approval. This application was automatically denied within 2 minutes of submission, citing that Amazon is not accepting applications from sellers.
We believe this was an error, as our business operates in full compliance with EU regulations. We submitted an appeal (Case ID: 11301844792) including supporting documentation such as VAT registration, LUCID packaging registration, EPR compliance, and a valid HACCP certificate. The case has now been under review for several days with no update or resolution.
We are hoping to hear from others in the community or from Amazon staff:
Has anyone faced a similar issue where one ASIN was approved but another was denied under a different sub-category?
Is there a standard timeline for resolution on these cases?
Are there any escalation paths to ensure this is reviewed by the appropriate compliance team?

What kind of product is it? Otherwise we can only guess here.
If the ‘Human Ingestible’ category does not currently allow activations, you won't get any. If it is in the wrong category (because it is similar to the one that has already been activated), you will have to have this corrected by Support.
