Small and Light is now history!

What does everyone think of the change? While the fees are going up I think it’s a sigh of relief for me. Having to only manage a single SKU for each product and be cable to revert to manufacturers barcodes will make life a lot easier.

It is absolutely disastrous for me

In the bottom 2 tiers there are price increase of 48p for the smallest tier and 41p for the next tier up.

It may well be the end of me selling so many items on Amazon FBA. I can’t afford to raise prices that high and compete with those on FBM. I can’t do FBM myself as I have issues with getting the buy box.

Totally and utterly so annoyed by this. I knew it was coming as it was announced in the USA but I don’t think their price increases were so high.

Question; does this mean that we no longer need to ‘enrol’ products into the new program, but instead, Amazon will just charge the reduced rates automatically?

Basically Amazon have decided it’s not worth their whilst to fulfil S and L products - a 40p ish increase on small/standard envelopes on top of the 20p increase in the last rate card rise.

They’ve just a put a big pin in so many peoples business model

Oh wow, thats a big increase, considering they already had an increase just a few months ago, the lower tiers will literally be twice what they were at the start of the year, taking into effect VAT, having to raise the price, which increases the referral fee, I would have to put my cards up by a minimum of 70p, and considering that’s my cheapest card that sells for £2.50 that’s nearly a 30% price hike.

Wish I’d known that was coming before I sent 600 cards into them earlier this week :frowning:

On saying that, people expect to pay more for FBA than they do FBM, I know I do, but I’d be a lot less fearful sending more cards into them if they would actually allow me to create a removal order for them, currently I have to destroy them if they don’t sell.

I’m the same as you, most of mine are next day anyway (ok the odd one is 2 day, but most are next day, even over the weekend) , and all mine are seller labelled with FNSKU

So there is literally no benefit to me for all this, just another price hike that will see the customer paying more, oh well, might make Ebay more appealing to them  Since I can actually post letters at my contracted letter rate, my cards on there will soon be just over 1/2 the price they are on Amazon

This is really going to mess up the “match competitive price” requirement for offer eligibility. Self-fulfilled will now be quite a bit cheaper with Royal Mail over FBA.

If Amazon cannot compete with Royal Mail for large letters then this will undoubtedly drive sales away from FBA to FBM and other websites/marketplaces. For us, Royal Mail FBM will now be 30p to 70p cheaper than FBA.
