Brand name and logo on Brand: Generic

My product has a Brand: Generic
Am I allowed to put my own brand name / logo on this category of product? As long as my choice of brand name is not trademarked by antoher, of course.
I don't intend to trademark a brand name, at present, but would like to put a name, with logo, on my products.

If you want to brand your own products, you will need to get a barcode from GS1 and apply to your own listing.
Do not put the brand name as Generic. The brand name needs to be your brand name/identity against the GS1 barcode only.
