The buy box is allocated using Amazon's own algorithm, so maybe none of the offers meet the criteria that are taken into account by the algorithm ?

It is strange to me that you would ask Amazon to look at that ASIN given it is clearly a Dettol product being sold as a different brand. The whole listing needs removing, not just the buybox being taken away.

It will be because of their competitive pricing/
Seller_ND6tulQACyI6C
any idea how to fix that or contact them regarding this bcz competitive pricing is 2 GBP and amazon fees is only 3 and above

I have tried once but I have given up, they dont compare like for like and ignore what you tell them, try opening a case but expect nothing.

Thats what i am doing already they rejected 2 cases saying competitive offer outside amazon, lol this is a joke for this BIG BRAND comparing with other platforms. Competitive offere showing on amazon is 2 GBP and its fba fees alone stands for 3.2 GBP. When will amazon understand this

That is how Amazon's 'Fair Pricing Policy' works - they look at prices across all marketplaces /outlets (not just Amazon). Look it up in the search bar on your homepage. Explains clearly.
'Amazon marketplace fair pricing policy
Sellers are responsible for setting their own prices on Amazon marketplaces. In our mission to be the world's most customer-centric company, Amazon strives to provide our customers with the largest selection, at the lowest price and fastest delivery – and sellers play an important role.
Amazon regularly monitors the prices of items in our marketplaces, including shipping costs, and compares them with other prices available to our customers. If we see pricing practices on a marketplace offer that harms customer trust, Amazon may take action, such as removing Buy Box, removing the offer, or in serious or repeated cases, suspending or terminating selling privileges.'

"This is how Amazon Fair Pricing Policy works" for my scnerio 2 GBP is competitive price and amazon fees is 3.2 GBP this is what amazon call it fair pricing.

I was simply quoting their policy, and to me the first comment in that policy is not adhered to "Sellers are responsible for setting their own prices on Amazon marketplace "
I too disagree with Amazon's fair pricing policy - I have many items (am a bookseller) that are deactivated because they say my price is too high, yet they don't even take into account that I might be the only seller with it, that it is rare, better condition than others available etc., yet they tell us that sellers are responsible for setting own price !! Over the years there have been many posts about this as verges on price-fixing, hence why I think they brought in this policy.

In case most of those sellers are listing hijackers, their variety of products messed up Amazon algorithm, then some strange things happened. Even Amazon seller support can't explain the reason.

The Buy Box problem has existed since it was first created (10 years ago??)
In my opinion virtually everyone (including people from Amazon) who says that they know what factors affect the buy box are just guessing. I can only talk about books and in that category "condition" appears (and I am only guessing!! )to over rule other factors in the race for the buy box. A book in "As New" will always beat "GOOD" no matter if it is 10 times the cost.
The best buy box I have seen recently is an American seller with 71% feedback , a price of £30 ( lowest was £10 - nobody else was higher than 12). There was no description of the book other than VERY GOOD (all the others were GOOD or worse.). There was really very little to recommend this seller.
I personally think the concept of a buy-box is dreadfully flawed and should be done away with. Let the buyer make a choice of what they want to buy by looking at what the sellers are offering and what their record is. and not let Amazon try to persuade them that "this one is the best don't look any further"

A quick search shows item B0D22WZW1P available at Superdrug for £1.49 - thats why the buy box is removed.
