New to variations and trying to make the switch from customizations. I feel like I'm seeing conflicting info on photos - do you add photos to Parent listing which apply to all child listings? Or do you add all photos to Child listings individually? Basically - do Parent listings have photos at all??

You will be required to place one main image on the Parent listing. I do not believe this shows up to the customer, just requires one photo. The Child listings should hold your photos that show to the customer.
Many of the non-photo fields entered in the parent listing do override the fields on the child listings.
