Starting Today: New Forums Experience
In October, we launched the new Amazon Seller Forums experience, your daily stop for finding the answers that can help you find success selling in Amazon’s store. After listening to feedback from Forums users like you, we decided to delay completing the full onboarding into the new year. We’re excited to announce that starting today, we’ll be migrating existing Forums sellers into the new experience.
In addition to an updated look and feel, the Seller Forums now offers:
- Simpler navigation and search, so it’s faster for you to get help and advice from other selling partners and Amazon Community Managers as well as offer help and advice to other selling partners.
- Advanced filtering so you can sort by votes, views and number of replies. You can also quickly see if Amazon provided a response.
- Voting features that allow you to indicate a post as helpful, not helpful, or to flag it for Amazon review. Original posters can also flag which response to their question was the most helpful.
- Personalization, allowing you to choose to see more content from topics related to your business by selecting relevant categories from your profile.
- An expanded team of Amazon Community Managers to engage in discussions with ideas and tips as well as to ensure the conversations are safe and welcoming for everyone.
Check out our Amazon Selling Partner Blog post to learn more about the new features.
We appreciate your continued contributions and hope you enjoy the new Seller Forums!

To the mods who show they don’t care or choose to thicken their blinders in all this:

So can you tell me when the intellectual property I and other Amazon Handmade Posters will be made public. We were just informed of that action last Thursday, January 19th 2023. We were given no time to express our displeasure and contribute to some other type of solution.
The Amazon Handmade Forum was Closed and [Locked] the postings we made were implied, expressed and by direct Amazon Employee written communication to be inaccessible to others.
Closed to the forum members that were not approved artisans, and more importantly closed to the search engines.
For that reason, many of us shared quite openly on those forums. I know I did more so than I do on the commercial side of the forums. I will hold Amazon accountable for the release of that information.
To take action I expect harm needs to occur. We will see how long that takes.
Closed and [Locked] those are Amazon’s Terms. Again this is a question @Jessica_Amazon when will it be open and unlocked so we can prepare.

I feel for you @ImageAbility but you’re likely going to get silence on that. I’m fairly certain @Jessica_Amazon has run away from the topic she started by now.

Was anyone asking for a simple delay in release? If not, the only other way to parse this sentence is that you took the time to implement feedback … can you described what changed as a result of this process? When we first started getting a bunch of engagement from forum mods, last year, we were told that places where seller feedback was used to affect process would be highlighted. Can anyone think of a single instance of that happening?
As for this: “Check out our Amazon Selling Partner Blog post to learn more about the new features” a link is generally a good idea. It’s ironic to say “we’re launching these new features to allow you quicker access to info” then force us to go banging on links in help docs.

It was nice knowing you folks.
If I ever offended anyone, such is life
J/K.
I truly apologize from the bottom of my heart.
The forum is as the forum does I suppose.
All good things and such.
Will miss you all.

All the very best

PS - I’ll still be on until the migration which I expect today or this week.

That is the point. They are [Locked] Closed unless you are approved for Amazon Handmade, and the Closed Forum.
Unlike here in the commercial forum, where all can view, all including anyone on the internet. Sellers may only post.
They turned off posting in the Handmade forum about 48 hours ago in preparation for the change over and releasing all our [Locked] postings in the Closed forum.
To @Chimanimani 's point on privacy, I have posted our products and links to our products on that forum. To explain how something in Handmade, or Amazon Custom works. Artisans have posted pictures of there workshops, trying to help others when they get audited by Amazon and need to demonstrate they are handmade. It is so not ok, to publish in public a Handmade Sellers living room or bedroom workspace.
We have posted how many team members, or that we work alone. It is also typical to know the sex of a Amazon Handmade seller through the closed forum.
No big deal on all that and other issues. If we knew at the time it was open or would be opened in the future.
At the last forum change they opened it for three days. Nothing personal, but we had quite a few oddballs drop in to give advise. All of it bad and nothing to do with the Handmade interface since it was very different at the time.
After three days of relentless hounding by a few of us, Amazon closed the forum again. They understood why it needed to be.
Nothing has changed since that day. We were all told, the information would not be available to others, it would not be slurped by the search engines. You can not change the rules on that type of thing without warning.
As I understand it if we do not want our business information on the forum, we now can select not to participate.
We, other handmade sellers have no choice. You will be able to view that information in the next few hours or days. The search engines will link to that information in the next few hours or days.
None of us agreed to that. And we have been given no way out of the disclosure.

An additional point that ASV made was this on the matter of doing nothing and I think it’s valid

I was thinking about that today. We have a small team, I will not say the size, but you can all get that information soon.
If I don’t do anything, I am safe right?
What if one of my team members that have access to the account, go to Seller Central like they do everyday, and click on the “thread of the hour” they are presented with a login screen, and some message. They click, log in, all over, Pandora’s box is open, and you can not put anything back in it.
Seller_bn8DWWmTSpHb0
Fun fact from witnessing it firsthand in a prior forum which did the same thing:
Usually, the people who get caught doxxxing and attacking people offsite are typically the loudest whiners about having their posts flagged or downvoted.
Just, food for thought.
Seller_JSkKTxOgzk1ON
There will be no continued contributions from most of us. This is the death of the seller forums.
Seller_aV1Bh32hE0KND
Nothing exciting about it.
I guess this is goodbye and good luck to all future sellers seeking help.
Seller_JSkKTxOgzk1ON
At least the mods will be happy that the engage with Amazon threads wont be full of people scorned by the NSFE. It will just be crickets, an improvement I suppose.
Seller_nstkdGWZl0SW0
You arrogant people never bothered to listen to any of us.
The sellers hate this new concept.
We will not be participating as will many many more.
