Account Hacked!!!
I have never really used Amazon Seller. Why was $42.39 suddenly deducted from my account?! I received no invoice whatsoever. The balance shows zero.
I suspect my account has been hacked after I registered it (without using it).
I am horrified. This must be a mistake. Kindly refund and deactivate my account.

Is this perhaps the Professional Selling Fee charge of $39.95 per month? I'm not sure why the little bit extra, perhaps tax? You asked to have this refunded and to deactivate your account. This is a forum of other sellers, we can not refund or deactivate your account. If this is what the charge is, you will need to downgrade from professional seller to individual by going to Settings > Account Info > Downgrade Account. This will stop the monthly charge. You can also after downgrading your account on the same Account Info page select to close your account if you still wish to do that. I believe there is a way to request a refund on the Professional Selling Fee if you haven't used any of the services at all, but I don't know off hand how to do that, you can probably find it by searching on the forum.

@Seller_DdmPiA1p1S2Wu have provided you with the instructions to downgrade your account so Amazon won't continue to charge the Professional seller fee. However, you won't be able to close your account while it's still suspended.
If you're new to Amazon and your account was suspended after you signed up, this is normal procedure. Charging the fee is also normal procedure. Amazon has already or will ask you for documentation to verify your identity before giving you full access to selling.
If you've received a communication from Amazon, please post that so those willing to help can see exactly what Amazon is asking you for.
Once your account has been reactivated, you can either start selling or close the account at that time. However, it should be noted that you are allowed only one account for life, so closing your account is permanent and means you will no longer have the ability to sell on Amazon ever. A better option would be to place your account on vacation, should you ever wish to begin selling again.
As for requesting a refund of the fee you've been charged, again, you'll need to reactivate the account first. Once you do, you can request a refund from Seller Support, if you haven't used any Professional Services.

Just checking in with you here. You received some excellent information from the community here. Seller Support can review your account and generate that refund, if requirements are met. If you haven't done so already, you will need to submit a Seller Support case, which you can do here. The appropriate team will then review your request and account before approving the refund.
