Anyone else feel they have a sales cap on units sold?

I feel like amazon has put a sales cap on us. I have been selling the same product for 4 years now and know what to expect every month in sales. It seems like after earlier this year we can’t exceed 30-40 units per day no matter what.  We have lowered the price, increased advertising and sent in more inventory and our sales just won’t go over those numbers. Last year we were doing 80-100 per day.  It’s like the algorithms won’t allow us to sell more no matter how hard we try. Anyone else experiencing this? I feel like after they got all our information from reforms act they changed everything.

More like inflation is causing less consumer spending.

Amazon isn't going to restrict unit sales per day. That would mean they are making less money on the commission and fulfillment fees.

I feel this too. It's like there is an arbitrary limit to the number of units that you can sell AND usually on my busier days it's always backed up with a slow day the next day.

Tin foiling here, but I believe amazon has way too many sellers and as a result, something in the algorithm has changed to limit the number of sales so that more sellers can get a slice of the pie.

I might be wrong but look at all social media affiliate program advertising. Does your advertising dollar really go to buyers to buy things or to the affiliates pocket book. I think 10% goes for advertising and the rest in affiliates pocket book.

I saw a report Amazon made 60 Billion dollars on campaign ads. You do the math.

We always felt they throttle accounts like cell phones do with data. You get to certain unit or dollar amount and you are removed from top boy boxes. We tried years ago slashed best selling items upped quantity and sold less and when we started checking listings we were way lower but no longer top listing. Some weeks you are killing it on sales then right before 2 week pay period closes sales drop off the charts until after payment. Seems like they push new and low rates sellers likely because they are new source of revenue and they are trying to hook them into the Amazon cycle of hell.

Check Brand Analytics - great view of customer journey. When we see erosion in sales we immediately check Consumer Behavior Analytics. We also track page views, session, and unit session % week over week, month over month and year over year to look for any trends (+, - or neutral).

We do this across 4000+ sku's. We are hyper aware of these KPI and react quickly. Business Reports | Detail Page Sales and Traffic By Child

Absolutely! We have 400-500 different items, different price points, etc - yet somehow magically sell a nearly identical number of units per day. I am talking variance of 1-2%. Its a mathematical impossibility!

10000% positive. Ive been selling over 20 years. Except for prime days, our sales are almost always the same. I even just added a very large account and they are very slowly increasing my daily sales.
