Moving permanently abroad while running a sole trader company in the UK
Good afternoon,
I’ve been running a sole trader company for the last 8 years in the UK as a resident EU citizen.
I mainly import coffee beans and ground coffee from the EU into the UK for reselling in different marketplaces.
I am thinking of moving permanently abroad and I was wondering if it could be possible to carry on trading, obviously managing the business remotely. It would be a pity to erase all the job done in the last years.
I just want to know if it’s possible to do so. If yes, what are the steps to take? What are the legal requirements? I have no idea from where to start.

You can do, but if you are storing/sending stock to FBA then you will need to register for VAT as a NETP

If you are a UK based sole trader currently then you will need to establish a new business in your home country and - depending on what you do, transfer/update your new business credentials.
If you are using FBA in the UK you will need to register for VAT (if you aren’t already).

I’m currently VAT registered, with EORI number. I really appreciate your help, but the problem is that I need to be guided through. All the accountants I have talked with they haven’t provided a valid resolution plan on this matter.

Do you actually mean sole trader - or do you mean a company as in ltd ?
