Refund - Shipping cost ? ?
Looks like the Amazon recently changed their refund and returns procedure , We used to grant every refund manually but now Amazon issue the full refund once customer ships back the order .
We noticed they refund the shipping cost ( Next day or second day orders) even if the customer no longer wants it .
How is that even reasonable ? What are we supposed to do ?

Yes, this is Amazon refund at first scan procedure for returns
You can file a SAFE-T claim under reason Other to request them to refund you the outbound shipping cost if it arrived on time.

@Seller_f4a7xAPCCSMqD is correct, but I want to add a clarification and links to related Seller Central help pages.
First, this page will educate you about Refund at First Scan (RFS), and this one will help with understanding the Reimbursement policy for Prepaid Return Labels (PRL) in the seller-fulfilled network.
Now, for my clarification. Returns that are self-ship or use a label paid for by the seller are not eligible for a refund at first scan. These will need to be handled manually from within Seller Central by you. If you do not monitor and handle these return requests, then Amazon will auto-refund the buyer.
I hope this helps. Thank you for selling on Amazon.
