Buyer Abuse
I suspect I have a buyer placing large volume orders only to refuse delivery. I shipped one such order that then got refused and sent back, resulting in almost $100 worth of shipping charges. I cancelled the next order buyer placed (after emailing buyer to see if the order was real and they intended to take delivery), and now it's hitting my cancel metrics and affecting premium ship eligibility. Besides filing an abuse report, anything else I should do differently?

Do not cancel the orders, as it may negatively impact your metrics and could prompt Amazon to issue a policy warning. Instead, fulfill the order using Amazon's buy shipping labels. This will help prevent any negative feedback from affecting your account.
Additionally, we recommend reporting the buyer using the 'Report a Violation' link on your Amazon Seller Central dashboard. If the customer continues to place additional orders with a similar pattern, please repeat this process to protect your seller account. It's important to note that any A-to-z claims or negative feedback resulting from these orders won't count against you as log as you use Amazon's buy shipping labels.
If you observe three or more orders with the same concerning pattern, consider opening a case with Amazon Seller Support. They will guide you on reporting the buyer, and your case will provide a record of your concerns for further investigation.
Good luck
