Changing from a Sole Proprietor to Mulit Member LLC
I have been selling on Amazon for 3 years as a sole proprietorship. I am now wanting to change over to a multi-member LLC (I and my partner) that has been up and running for 5 years. I have been scouring the forums trying to get as informed as possible. However, there is hardly anything I could find about changing from a sole proprietorship to multi member LLC. Has anyone gone through this process or have any advice. I obviously have Bank statement, and Utility bill available. However, is there anything else that I need on hand?
I would appreciate any advice or input on this matter. I have been wanting to change this over for a while now but just want to make sure I have gone through the necessary research in order to eliminate any mistakes on my part.

Additionally, I wanted to share a link to the U.S. Income Reporting & Tax Identity Collection FAQ page and call out the following section:
How do I update my tax information and legal business name?
To update your tax information, you must complete the U.S. Tax Identity Information Interview.
To update your legal business name:
- Go to Settings and click Account Info.
- Under Business Information, click Legal Entity.
- Enter your Legal Business Name and click Update.
