New ways for Amazon to delay payments
Payment reports now has a new category... deferred transactions.
Lets be clear. Amazon just chose to accept a deferred payment; I have no choice. Still, they changed a process without notice. I can't defer shipping; I can't just change the schedules. Yet they can decide some entity is creditworthy and not pay me until their cliernt pays them? I didn't approve their payment method...Amazon did. They should assume the risk and cost.

If this is the first time you have seen this you have been lucky. Amazon instigated this change a long time back. Its been pretty crappy if you sell a lot to companies versus individuals although they have been pushing the amazon charge cards hard and we are starting to see it more on personal orders too. You can pay a penalty fee to get your money early.

Don't start your day reading amazon emails or cases - it will take years off of your precious life!

Nothing was changed. This has been around since about 2018.

Many companies offer terms. It's not that big a deal.
You can pay a penalty fee to get your money early.
On the page I referenced:
If you prefer to get early payments on your invoiced orders you can change your invoiced order payment settings and your payment for Pay by Invoice orders will be credited to the available balance of your selling on Amazon account immediately after shipment by paying a 1.5% processing charge.

It's kind of simple. If you don't like it, don't sell on Amazon. Or buy the company and run it your way.

Gee. In your own words, "Let's be Clear." It's not new. It's been happening for years. Same as invoiced orders, people who get a payment plan.
You must not sell on FBA. "Amazon assumes the risk and the cost?" Just wait until they ship a package late, the customer gets upset, complains, and they GET THEIR MONEY BACK BUT GET TO KEEP THE PRODUCT because the package missed the delivery deadline and that money was taken out of YOUR account!!! We have no way to say when or how an FBA package ships yet we pay the penalties. "Amazon assumes the risk and the cost?" Surely you jest. Ha ha, love starting the day with a joke and a smile.
