Someone else is using my UPC and Seller Support keeps sending me a generic response that makes no sense
I went to list new items from my brand but I was unable to do so because some car parts company is using my UPCs. I see so many threads on this forum with this same issue but either the resolution to the thread is taken offline or there is no resolution at all. It is so frustrating that Amazon doesn't feel the need to fix this. I have submitted multiple tickets to Seller Support with the GS1 certificate, but they all end in a generic response that makes no sense. My issues is not an PDP or IP infringement issue. It is a UPC issue. Can someone from Amazon PLEASE help me get my UPCs back so I can list my products?

Did you verify on the website of GS1, called gepir, if your UPC codes really are attributed to your "Legal Entity", as in your account settings?

When you are opening your cases, are you asking for them to "cleve" the incorrect ASIN from your UPC?

Hello @Seller_46a7Xo6ifRFcQ,
Michelle at Amazon here. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues with your UPC's. As others have stated, are your UPC's GS1 certified? Can you please provide me with your case with Seller Support regarding this issue. If you don't have a case yet, please start here and let me know if they are unable to assist you.
Regards,
Michelle

Sadly I went through this for 4 months with no resolution. They were able to get the old UPC removed so that when I added a product to catalog it didn't show up as already available, however when I went to add the listing, it was also red errors saying the product already existed in the catalog. Fortunately the UPC owner owns the prefix and created a new code, but it was quite a mess as this other company hijacked 5 other codes and Amazon could not resolve. Your best bet is probably to try issuing a new code, though maybe you have better luck than me.

I had a similar problem and had to hire a 3rd party consulting firm to deal with it because the pain of the repeated canned emails from the tech support people, the "cleave" process which didnt work and all the other nonsense left me no time to tend to my business. This problem is a real pain and Amazon doesnt do much to help. I used a company called FiveStar and they were very good and reasonable and sorted it out in a few weeks. They have more patience that I ever could.

Or you don't know how the forum is working - not knowing that you have to click "notifications" - or you don't want help. So why did you start the thread?

Good luck oftentimes I end up getting copy and paste responses from Amazon for things that are not relevant I don't think they read the issue in hand. And We've ran into a few occurrences where a UPC was incorrectly used for another brand or item and did not get too much help from Amazon. Frustrating! Right now dealing with other Amazon issues we're not getting any help on such as being wrongly accused for selling a counterfeit product without a test buy from who knows. I so miss dealing with customer service in the US as we used to 10 years ago and someone could help us immediately
