Need assitance with FBA shipment which was sent to Amazon warehouse in Germany

Hello,

I am writing a post regarding the FBA shipment sent to Amazon warehouse in Germany.

I just want to check that everything is ok and the packages are received by Amazon employees. By our records DHL delivered those items on 27.03.24 to Amazon warehouse.

Amazon FBA Shipment ID: FBA15HWYXP2G

DHL tracking number: 6850472370

Delivered to this address:

Amazon Services BER8/IXD1

At Möllenpfuhl 2

Schönefeld, Bavaria 12529

5 boxes, including 30 boxes shipped by Amazon.

According to the DHL data, the package is shown as delivered and there is proof of delivery with signature. I asked DHL and they confirmed that it was delivered to correct address and Amazon employee signed for it.

7 days since shipment was delivered to Amazon warehouse and I don't see any updates on my seller central account regarding this shipment. I am just getting a bit stressed, because we sent quite a lot of items in total.

I would appreciate any help on this matter from forum members or moderators.

This warehouse is a distribution centre. Your goods are usually dispatched from there to other warehouses. Sometimes they need 2 weeks until the entire quantity is booked. You should see "Multiple destinations" in your Shipping Queue / overview: https://sellercentral.amazon.de/gp/ssof/shipping-queue.html?ref=fbacentral_nav_fba#fbashipment

I recommend that you simply observe the process for a few more days.

PS: I've only just realised how slow they are sometimes. We have several shipments (products) that were delivered on 17th February 2024. The deliveries were only successfully completed on 14th March 2024.

To be honest there is some things which confuses me. I submitted shipment, labeled all items, boxes and warehouse address was shown where to ship my items.

Now on the shipment I can see that last update was on 28.04 and delivery address and location of this shipment has changed? Does it means they are moving my items to different Amazon warehouse?

If shortly - once FBA shipment was completed from my side, Amazon requested to ship it to warehouse A, but now in the same shipment details I can see that delivery address has changed for B? Do you have any explanation from your side? Have you experienced something like that?

I am not sure what is going on, that's why I am looking for some advice in forums as seller support haven't replied to my case either.

P.S. Seriously? It's nearly a month, so it's kinda slow - I am pretty sure you are loosing some sales and etc. So it means, shipments needs to be planned in advance and you can't them to be accepted even within 2 weeks.

We have got into the habit of keeping at least 90 days worth of stock at amazon. For exactly these reasons. Especially when promotion days are approaching, it can take even longer. And yes, everything you say is correct. You send to BER8/IXD1, for example, and amazon distributes it from there to HAJ1, DTM2, LEJ5 and MUC3...

I have not yet read of any trick that could prevent the goods from being distributed across several warehouses. But maybe one of our sales buddys knows one.

I simply don't think about it too much... At least the goods dont disappear. 🤞😊

Okay, as it seems I just need to wait and hope that my items will be delivered from BER8/IXD1 to DTM2 soon and I will get any updates regarding the shipment.

Now at least I understand the whole FBA system and how it works with shipments. Otherwise, I was confused a bit.

My questions is about FBA sales, I am EU based company (Latvia) - we obtained local German VAT to use Amazon FBA services in Germany. How does the sales works? Is my FBA items available on in the Germany? Or they are available across all EU marketplaces for example, FR, ES and etc?

By my knowledge if I use FBA in selected country, which in my case is Germany - then FBA products are available only within that country. Am I right?

This question appears, just because I have pending FBA order on Amazon.fr website, that's why I was confused with this.

About your FBA sales question: this depends on which settings you chose for Fulfilment by Amazon.

I am referring to the settings that your find by clicking on settings in the upper right corner > Fulfilment by Amazon.

Under Multi-Country Inventory Terms and Conditions you can find the following:

"All your inventory that is stored throughout Amazon European fulfilment centres is considered as one single pool of European inventory. If you have listings in marketplaces where you do not have local inventory, we will fulfil orders remotely from your remaining European inventory pool."

If you choose in your settings to only store in DE, but still have FBA listings on the French Marketplace, this would apply.

Please be aware that eventual returns in France may be sent to a Fulfilment Centre there, so make sure to monitor your FBA Inventory and to check the VAT requirements for countries you have listings in.

This warehouse is a distribution centre. Your goods are usually dispatched from there to other warehouses. Sometimes they need 2 weeks until the entire quantity is booked. PS: I've only just realised how slow they are sometimes. We have several shipments (products) that were delivered on 17th February 2024. The deliveries were only successfully completed on 14th March 2024.
