ASIN Not Searchable at all using the exact name, keywords, or ASIN

My listing is not searchable using the exact name, keywords, or ASIN. I checked manage inventory and the status is ACTIVE.

Currently, there are 30 units available. I have created a case with support and 1st they said I have less units and low page views and traffic and to increase it I should go for sponsors adds. How can I get views and traffic on my listing when it cannot be searched at all? When I questioned them if they are suppressing my ASIN to make me spend on advertising? I got a response that my ASIN has been classified as an Adult product. Adult products are suppressed from this search query.

I am selling a stationery product - Binder Clips. How can this be classified as an Adult product?

They said that this is not a catalog field and I cannot fix this myself. They asked to let them know if I wish to remove adult classification.

I replied on 7th Dec to remove my product from adult classification and get it changed to Office Products. I have not had any progress since then. When I email them I get a reply that they are working on it and will get back to me.

It’s getting really frustrating as every time there is a new agent. Amazon Agents have no case ownership till the issue is solved.

Can someone suggest a way out of this please?

Hey there @Seller_lmFtUvpmHE3im- thanks for bringing this issue to forums so we might have an opportunity to assist. Sponsored ads are a good way to increase traffic, though I agree they won't fix searchability issues. I'll share some background info on optimizing listings for search in case it proves helpful, but if you would like to share your case ID with support here in the thread, I'd be interested in taking a look from my end at the specifics here.

Thanks much!

Danny
