Wrong item sent but no order number found
Hi,
I got an email from customer telling that they received wrong item (First time I am getting this complaint in 4 years).
They have attached the order ID along with the email. BUT, I am not able to find that ID in "Manage Orders" section.
It is also suspicious that the Last name in the email of the customer is matching with my competitor's storefront.
I don't want to be deactivated due to false claims. What to do? Please help! TIA

Got an email in Amazon's messaging system? Or outside of Amazon?

This is a common scam both on the Amazon site and off. It is just someone trying to get something for free from you. After investigating the claim, do this.
When they come through within the Amazon Communication System, report the message as, "Buyer is trying to deceive me".
When it comes in your personal email, just delete it.

email? or buyer message through Amazon systems? They are two different things :-)
