Customers being informed by Amazon that their package will be late, USPS tracking data says likewise
Ive had about 10 messages from customers in the last 18 hours stating they want to cancel their orders or want refunds for expedited shipping charges becuase theyve been "informed" by Amazon that the package wont arrive until after Christmas. But then when i look up the tracking on the USPS website, it indicates the packages will have arrived today, have been delivered today, or by the 23rd at the most. The customers are being mislead and say things like im horrible for saying it would arrive before Christmas and its not and that they are going to buy a different present. They are soooo mad. Someone at Amazon needs to investigate this glitch in their system ASAP. This is the time for a moderator to get on it and inform their tech people that their data flow is screwed up. Just investigate my messages with customers and check the tracking data on the USPS website. Its clear there is a problem. And Amazons customers are not happy.

This explains a message I received today requesting a refund since the package will be late now. USPS states delivery today.

i havent had this issue. but i did get an angry message about how I ruined their kids christmas. Apparently, the sealed PS4 game i sent out sealed arrived "empty" and now their kids christmas is ruined. Guilt tactics wont work on us though!!

Amazon also did this last year, you may remember.
A lot of people got a lot of free stuff. I tried to explain this to an acquaintance of mine at the time, but she was just tickled to get free merchandise.
Considering this apparently-annual fiasco (plus the extended return period), the smart sellers are the ones who can afford to put their stores on vacation until after the holidays.

same here, i received a negative feedback and the tracking is showing the package was delivered today.

The same thing happened to us a couple of years ago. It was a nightmare. We created the saved template email below as we responded to about 20 of the same type of email. Hope you find it useful.
Thank you for your order with us on Amazon. Amazon sent that very same automated message to many customers in error. Your order shipped out on <insert shipping date> within with time frame originally provided by Amazon. We are sorry for the confusion that their incorrect message has caused. Please rest assured that your order is on its way to you. Pulling up your tracking number we see this package is scheduled to be delivered <insert estimated delivery date>. You can track the package through your order history.
We are very sorry for the confusion that erroneous email has caused.

Don't work for Amazon, learn and make Amazon work for you.

Amazon does this all the time, if a package is delayed by USPS, UPS etc etc the system sends out messages to the customers letting them know it has not arrived yet.
If you have used Amazon Buy Shipping AND you shipped on time, then inform the customer that they have to go to the product ordered and select problem with order and follow the directions.
This is the Copy and Paste form I use for Lost Packages
I am terribly sorry for the USPS delay, I did ship it on time using Amazon Buy Shipping.
You need to request a refund through Amazon.
To request a refund:
Go to Your Orders.
Locate the order.
Select Problem with Order.
Select your problem from the list.
Select Request Refund.
Enter your comments in the text box.
Select Submit.
If you did not use Amazon Buy Shipping then you have to refund the customer and open a lost package claim with the appropriate carrier.

Had the same issue on Christmas Eve. Just one of the many reasons we will no longer be using Amazon to grow our business. It's problem after problem on this platform and we waste so much time fixing all the idiotic, unneeded issues that arise.
