WHY DOES THE KYC VERIFICATION PROCESS TAKE SO LONG?
I signed up for a seller account. My company documents and personal documents (proof of birthplace, proof of address) that I sent have been under review for more than 10 days and I have not received any response. Sellercentral said the review would take 10 days, but it's been more than 10 days. Is there any way to speed up this process? I keep the products I supply to sell in a warehouse and I pay a significant rent for it.

No its not possible to speed it up. It takes so long as thousands of new sellers are signing up every day. Just keep checking Performance Notifications to make sure they havent asked for anything else. Dont open cases as this sends you to the back of the queue.
Its currently taking several weeks.

....and to add to above - Amazon's time scales are never realistic, their 10 days could be 10 weeks !
