Hello Amazon Team,

I am creating a new listing of my publication. However, at the attribute "Binding" when I input Paperback, I get an error code 8541, informing me that the value "Paperback" cannot be used since it conflicts with the value Apparel for ASIN xxxxx.in the Amazon catalog.

The issue here seems to be that the approved product identifier for books, i.e., ISBN, is clashing with the product identifier of another unrelated product.

This clashing product cannot be a book, since the ISBN is unique and no 2 books can have the same numbering.

The publication in question has not been listed anywhere so far and all the copies of the book are with me.

This issue can be resolved only by Amazon, by allotting a different ASIN to the book being listed.

I have previously listed 32 books in my seller page and have not faced this issue so far. This is happening for the first time. When I reached out to Amazon Support, the Amazon Help is clueless. The team is not even attempting to apply their mind to the issue raised. I get only the copy-pasting of a standard response.

I have replied twice to the mail from <merch.service05@amazon.in>. Sadly it seems to be a Bot and the response is not being read and the same mail is being sent repeatedly and then I get a mail stating that the issue has been closed.
