Rejected Seller Bank Verification because of mismatch name between bank statement and ID

I received a notification on July 10 from Amazon requiring re-verifying Amazon seller identification.

I have uploaded all the required documents and information 4 times. But i kept receiving the notification of rejections from the email address trms-siv-noirob@amazon.com for the reason "The name of the account holder on the bank statement does not match the name on the resident ID."

A similar situation occurred during last year's verification, and the verification department should be aware that in the US, the bank statement for an Inc business account only shows the company name and address. This name matches exactly with the legal entity name in our seller account.

Additionally, the name on the passport provided is my personal name as the point of contact. I am the CEO of this company. The official business registration document for this company from the STATE Office of the Secretary of State is combined in the bank statement for the reference when uploading the bank statement. But it was rejected again.

I also opened a case with seller support, but it has no progress yet.

I also found similar issue from the forum in the last year: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/seller-forums/discussions/t/424421b3-6330-428f-b8b6-06cdd191d6bb

It was helped and resolved by @Cooper_Amazon

Did you put your private name while CREATING your account? Or single member LLC? So, you did NOT chose "Business" and the system is thinking that you are a sole proprietor, even if you changed your "Legal Entity" in the meantime. Consequently it's asking you a "resident ID". If you were a "company" from the beginning it would ask a business license and not an ID.

While a re-verification, the system is population the very first initial inputs.

Probably you have to ask seller support to change your status from "Individual" to "Business" and to internally update your "Legal Entity" to your company name.

That is my explanation, but without guarantee!

Or you could simply send a bank statement with your private name.... if you are a Single Member LLC (Depends WHAT company form you have).

Amazon considers Single Member LLCs as "Individual".

All this has nothing to do with Amazon's "Individual" or "Professional selling plan".

Hi @Seller_yHIdxFZzfsCzL

Connor from Amazon here, thanks for reaching out to us today.

I have to agree what @Seller_rI7BZIczK8iACis correct here. If the business is listed as "sole proprietor" then our team will need to see a bank statement with your name on it. If there is no name then it would fail.

Also, can you share any case IDs with me that you submitted over to support so that I can review and provide further resolution advice on this.

Cheers,

Connor
