All my variations are being assigned the same ASIN, why?
I have a listing that when I add any new variations they are all sharing the same ASIN. So 9 out of 30 listings under a parent listing have the same ASIN. When I try to add a new variation it gets assigned the same ASIN. So when I add a picture or update the title all 9 change to the exact same thing. The SKU's and FNSKU are different. (Note: We are branded and do not require UPCs on these items per Amazon)
Anyone have this issue or a fix?

@Seller_uJo8XNzWYLBfoI reported this issue back in June and I was told by an account manager that it wasn't an issue on their end and I needed to delete the variations and start over.
I noticed this issue is back because I have been trying to make listings with variations and it is happening again.
I tried the add a product tool which makes the variations for you... it assigned all variations the same ASIN
Then I tried a flat file... also assigned all variations the same ASIN.
I am also branded and have GTIN exemption for our products.

Whenever you don't use the Product Identifier field you need to be sure to fill in other data fields to distinguish the products. This **combination** of fields will help Amazon.
Other Product Specific Fields (**See Note below):
- Variation Theme Field (Size, Color, IPQ, etc)
- Part Number
- Model Number
- Model Name
These fields will help Amazon's back end realize a new ASIN is required.
**Note: Many newer sellers don't realize that since the titles in Variation Relationships should be relatively the same that this can cause Amazon to assign the same ASIN when no specific item data is used.

Hello @Seller_uJo8XNzWYLBfo- thanks for turning to forums for some assistance with this! I wanted to check in to see if the solution from the other seller in the thread helped resolve this for you? There's a helpful video on this page for creating variations through a file upload.
If not, I'd be happy to take a look at a case ID you have open with support on the topic to see how we can best advise!
Thanks,
Danny
