How to Deregister a European VAT Number?
We registered for European VAT numbers in 8 countries through Amazon's TBA service a few years ago. However, suddenly our Amazon Europe account was suspended, and we have not been able to sell our products through Amazon Europe for about 2 years, and now we only sell our products on Amazon North America. So, I want to cancel my European VAT number registration. My existing tax accountant is asking me to pay a lot of money to cancel my VAT number. Is there any way to cancel the European VAT number without paying a lot of money? I would really appreciate your advice. Thank you.

you should not have to pay any money to cancel a vat number.

contact Vat Services support and ask them to deregister. I have just completed the process. It took me over year.
