Check your default handling time (see if it has been changed to automated).

Check all your templates to make sure you do not have automation there either.

Do you fill in handling time on every listing, or depend on a default setting?

Over the weekend, a book that was ordered Friday should have been able to be shipped on Tuesday, but Monday was required. An order I received 5 hours ago is being required to be shipped tomorrow.

Your handle time has been set to 1 day.

Go to Shipping Settings and click on the General shipping settings tab

Scroll down to find the Handle Time widget

Automated Handle Time should show Not Active

Default Handle Time will show what it is set to ... 1 Day

If it is 1 Day and you need 2 Day, then click the Edit in the right corner and you will see ...

img

Here you can make sure Automated Handle Time is Not Active. If it is, click the toggle button to turn it off.

Next, select the Handle Time you will need. If 2 days is not an option, select 1 Day and the Save button to the right.

Now you have two options. First option is to set your Order Handling Capacity to 1 and Save. This will mean that your first order every day will be at 1 day handle time but every order after that will have an extra handle time day added to it. Second option is to set the handle time to 2 days at item level. This would have to be done for every item you have listed. Item level handle time overrides the default handle time and is the default for Automated Handle Time when the item is new and has no handle time data.

Amazon is going through some changes with AHT and SSA. If you are not familiar with them, you might want to check out this ...

It is unfortunate that your plan will not allow you to edit your listings.

Currently you pay $1.00 per sale to Amazon as an Individual Plan. IF you were to have 40 sales per month, you would already equal the $39.99 monthly fee for a Pro level plan.

If you do more than 40 sales per month, then it is actually costing you more money to remain at Individual Level.

I do not wish to seem unfeeling or unduly harsh, but if you are not capturing at least 40 sales per month on Amazon, then Amazon is not really the platform for you. At such low sales levels, it would probably be a better fit for you to use EBAY or some other (smaller) platform. These other platforms are also more forgiving when it comes to proving the source of your items.

Amazon is the largest, but is also the most difficult platform to succeed on.

My advice for Selling on Amazon is to go Pro, or go somewhere else.

It is indeed a Sad commentary on just HOW MUCH Amazon has changed in the last few years after Bezos stepped-down and the Company increasingly relies on A.I. to handle virtually every aspect of their business. No computer has EVER been programmed to consider that IT may be wrong.

It is also incredibly ironic that what became the largest and most profitable online selling platform by being a BOOK SELLER has become SO hostile to Third Party Sellers, especially Book Sellers.

I wish you Good Luck wherever you land.

P.S. Since you only get 1 Amazon Seller account per-lifetime, I absolutely suggest you Downgrade your Seller account to Individual Level to end the monthly charge, but to KEEP you Amazon account for the future, just to leave your options open. Never burn a bridge you MAY one day need.
