Creating Inbound Pallet Shipments

We are trying to create efficient pallets. We create workflows consisting of over 1000 units (approx 40 boxes) and then amazon splits these into 4 shipments... None of which are large enough to fill up a pallet. We use SPD for the smaller shipments but its rather ridiculous. This is frustrating because it costs us a lot more to ship two half pallets rather than one full one and can make it challenging to even wrap.

Amazon added the "everything fits in one box" option and i was hoping that they would do the same for pallets with a "everything fits on one pallet" option.

Is there any way to limit the split so that we can at least get 20 or more boxes on a pallet? Would making smaller "send to amazon" shipment be better or should we make larger ones? Seems to not matter.

You can pay for inventory placement. This option will have your entire shipment go to 1 FC. Amazon gets to pick the FC of course and inventory placement has a cost per unit so theres that.

Otherwise just get used to it. Its part of doing business. Amazon chooses how many of what go where.

Set "Inventory placement" BEFORE creating a new shipping plan. delete the old one. Costs -.30/unit.

We had the same issue and ended up changing the packing template from "case pack" to "single sku pallet". This way the template is forcing them to recognize that our minimum set is a pallet worth of product. It gets around the 'inventory placement fee' but you have to have enough volume for it to work.

We haven't had any issues of them splitting anything since we did this.
