Procedure of canceling a inbound shippment after it was sent out
Hello All,
Does anyone know what the correct procedure is for cancellation of an inbound FBA shipment after it was sent out? I sent an FBA shipment, after which I realized that I might have sent the wrong product. I was able to have UPS intercept the package and rout it back to me, however, the delivery person pressed the wrong button, and it looks like that the items were received by Amazon, even though they are on their way back to me. I tried to delete the shipping label but was unsuccessful as the system thinks that the package was delivered.

In fact you don't know what is true. Amazon says they received and UPS said they didn't deliver. you will only know if you really get your units back.
go look in the shipping plan under "Track shipment". If you see "Delivered" it has been delivered. So, once they are "Available" you can create a removal order and make send them back to you.

HI @Seller_dm3iLNGUZq9wq,
Dominic from Amazon here, happy to try to help. At this point we will have to wait for the shipment to close. If it is closed and items are not received you will have to work with the carrier to get the products back.
Best,

You could go to Manage Inventory and find the listings you are unsure of. If you believe you sent wrong inventory or mismatched items, you can delete the SKU from your inventory page. They will still count your inventory but they will show you that you are missing an SKU. At this point you can create a removal order to have the items returned, although I would imagine that could be very costly. Be careful!

To our knowledge, FBA inbound shipments that UPS intercepts (for FBA shipping labels created by Amazon) are never returned to the sender, but to a default return address that Amazon has set up with UPS. The package will be delivered (returned) to a FC that deals with unforeseen shipping problems. We came to this conclusion after we asked UPS to intercept an FBA inbound shipment for us.
