ı need your help (credit card)
I am currently getting this warning. When I first opened my seller account, Amazon tried to charge me $1. I didn't have a credit card back then. However, I currently have a credit card registered in my Amazon seller account. but Amazon is not taking the payment.
This is the warning I got:
"Problem with your Seller Account
You cannot add or edit a list at this time because the credit card on file is invalid or in the verification process and can take up to 24 hours. Please make sure you have a valid credit card loaded in Account Settings."

This credit card can not be a debt card. It needs to be a credit card that you get a monthly statement and that can issue you credit and charge you interest. In addition, the credit card needs to accept charges from the US.
If you just added a credit card that meets the requirements mentioned above, then you will need to wait the 24 hour period for the credit card to be validated.

Did you go into your BUYER account and change the payment method to the credit card?
That is probably one of the most common issues. You need to change the buyer side FIRST and then the SELLER side second (if you need to change it at all after you fix the buyer side.)

Hello @Seller_dsOt8o3fL91NE,
Thank you for reaching out. This is a very common issue among new sellers when signing up with Amazon. Amazon requires a real credit card, so not a debit or pre-paid card. Your financial institution may only allow your credit card to be used in certain countries. As a result, you may see the same credit card being honored by Amazon in some of our stores, but not in others. When you register in Amazon as a seller, it is necessary to enter an internationally chargeable credit card with a valid billing address located in an eligible country. Reach out to your financial institution to determine the countries your card is eligible to be used in. You can use different credit cards in various Amazon stores. For the list of accepted credit cards, go to Bank account and credit card information for your seller account.
Note: We do not accept alternative charge methods, such as prepaid credit cards, gift certificates, checks, or online payment systems like PayPal.
We accept the following credit cards:
- American Express
- Diners Club
- Discover
- JCB
- MasterCard
- Visa
Please let me know if you haver additional questions. Here to help.
Happy selling.
Cheers,
Micah
