Brand Approval + GTIN exemption - what's the protection? Can someone audit my idea please
Hi all,
I’m planning to sell health and beauty bundles and have my own branded packaging and the products will be nicely gift wrapped to differentiate the bundle to my brand.
I have successfully gained brand approval and GTIN exemption, I was just wondering what level of protection I have over my listings before I put in the work to list them. I’m worried people will jump on the listing, although it would be impossible for them to have my branded packaging so their products under my brand would not be legit.
With my brand approval, if someone was to request authorisation to list my bundles, what would they have to prove, would they need invoices (obviously this would be impossible as I’d not be issuing invoices from my brand, so I’d be covered?), would it be a letter from the brand (again, covered), or could it be the case that they’ll be approved based on seller performance?
If they were to somehow get approval, I could report the products as counterfeit, right?

Pretty much no protection
If you want protection you’ll need a trademark, brand registry and a GS1 account for EANs
The question is though, are you actually bundling other branded goods ie Dove , L’Oréal ?

I really just do not ‘get’ this whole ‘re-branding’ of already branded products (especially well known brands) 
.
How can anyone think they can just rebrand something that already has a brand / multiple brands into a bundle - just doesn’t make any sense to me. Maybe I have too simple a mind !
