CWR distributor
Amazon Seller Support Response
thank-you contact to us. We are committed to helping you with this issue.
Amazon does not generally accept Walmart invoices as proof of authenticity, but it does accept CWR Marine Distributor invoices. This is because Walmart is not an authorized distributor of most products, so its invoices cannot be guaranteed to be reliable. CWR Marine Distributor, on the other hand, is an authorized distributor of marine products, so its invoices are considered to be acceptable documentation for appealing an inauthentic product complaint. If you have received an inauthentic product complaint and you have an invoice from CWR Marine Distributor, please submit it to Amazon Seller Support. You can do this by following these steps: Go to your Seller Central account. Click the Performance tab. In the Performance Notifications section, click the View link next to the inauthentic product complaint. Click the Appeal button. Attach the invoice from CWR Marine Distributor. Click the Submit button.

HI there @Seller_CnAaxYMIVP2gq,
I hope this finds you well!
I see that you and @Madeline_AMZ_481 have previously engaged here. I would like to provide further insight into the reason as to why receipts are not generally a valid document for proof of authenticity, in case there are questions as to why.
Just as intellectual property is important here, product authenticity is equally important. Brands often want to ensure any product with their name on it is 100% authentic in order to continue maintaining the trust of their buyers.
This is one of the reasons Amazon expects sellers to maintain responsible sourcing documentation such as invoices. While receipts can be accepted, oftentimes they re not due to missing information as required by the above policy. Listed below are the requirements for sourcing documentation request:
- Copies of invoices, receipts or other similar documents that demonstrate where your products are produced or manufactured
- These documents:
- Should reflect the sales volume of your product across all Amazon marketplaces in the last 365 days
- Should demonstrate your product’s full supply chain
- Should include contact information for the supplier(s) and the original manufacturer. We may contact suppliers or manufacturers to verify the documents
- Your documents should be able to trace your products to the original manufacturer even if you did not purchase them directly from the original manufacturer. This may require requesting additional invoices or supply chain documentation from your supplier if you are not sourcing directly from the manufacturer.
- You may remove pricing information, but the rest of the document must be visible to enable adequate review of the documents you provide. For ease of our review, you may highlight or circle the ASIN(s) under review.
The team will want to be able to link the purchase back to the seller in some fashion. Most receipts do not offer information like this. Traditional invoices do, however, and that documentation provides much more information on the seller, the supplier, and the products in question.
If you would like, please provide further insight into your specific situation so the forums community and I can support you to the best of our ability.
Let us know how we can help!
All the best,
Stevie
