Is someone using my GTIN illegally on Amazon?
Hello All,
I am new to selling on Amazon and recently attempted to list my product for sale. It is a completely new offering that I have developed myself with a barcode that was purchased directly from GS1 UK.
When I use the "add product" function I get the error:
The value 'Softvac Soft Vacuum Attachment' specified cannot be used as it conflicts with the value 'レディースロングウィンターテディジャケットフェイクファーコートレディースベルト付き厚手のふわふわジャケットぬいぐるみウォームコート' for ASIN Z in the Amazon catalogue. If this is ASIN 'B09MQ1THKH', update the value to match the ASIN data. If this is a different product, update identifying information (UPC/EAN/Part Number/etc).
I cannot update the UPC/EAN/ Part Number etc to anything other than the barcode number I have on the product can I? I also do not believe I have an ASIN as it is a unique offering not currently on Amazon.
I have obviously tried contacting seller support but going on two weeks with a kitchen filled with stock I am beginning to lose hope. Any help as to how I may be able to resolve this error and add the product would be greatly appreciated!!

It does look as though they used your EAN for this item "Women's Long Winter Teddy Jacket Faux Fur Coat Women's Belted Thick Fluffy Jacket Plush Warm Coat" (I translated the Chinese in Google). Yet the ASIN you quoted is not available on Amazon. I wonder if the other seller possibly used a random EAN generator and coincidentally it was one of yours? A bit far-fetched I must admit.
All you can do is either simply list the item with a different one your EANs or keep on at Amazon and attach your GS1UK certificate with proof of the ASIN

It seems like the error you're encountering is due to a conflict in attributes, specifically the title, which matches an existing product in the Japanese marketplace.

The issue arises because the seller is using the same GTIN as you for this product.
Have you encountered this error while using a file update? You might want to try creating your inventory file template using this method: Create your inventory file template
While I cannot guarantee that this will resolve the issue, it's worth considering this alternative.
Please make sure to inform Seller Support about this and provide them with the batch ID, real product pictures showing the GTIN on the package, and the brand.
