Am I Required to MAIL a Buyer a Return Shipping Label?
Has anyone successfully defended an A-Z in such a situation?
(Buyer hasn't filed an A-Z thus far) I've received an "I don't have a printer so I can't return it" message.

No, you are not required to. Was the label that was already provided prepaid or non-prepaid?

If they open a return request you can print the label yourself and mail it.
It's annoying, yes.
But if you want the item back and protect yourself from a-to-z then it's worth it.
Go to Manage Returns
https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/returns/list/v2/ref=xx_myr_dnav_xx
Click The "Edit Authorization" button next to the return request
Scroll down till you get to "Download current label"
If they didn't open a return request you'll have to get a label outside of amazon.

As it turns out, Amazon offers this solution:
Printed return labels
Buyers can contact Amazon Customer Service to have a physical label mailed to them for a small fee.
