BOPIS: Buy Online and Pick up In-Store - how to activate or apply?

I saw a question about this topic dated 4 months ago, answered by @Christine_Amazon, but I am not able to post to that discussion.

In our "Locations" section of our Seller Account, I am able to toggle the "In Store Pickup" option and provide pickup handling time and hours, but I am not convinced that just by completing those steps, our items are displaying as available for pickup to eligible Buyers.

There is a lot of implication that this feature needs to be applied for and approved, and I have been actively looking for more information regarding this in the Amazon help pages and even Seller University, but have found no guidance. We have a Pro Seller account on Amazon since around 2012.

In the referenced post above, there's mention of things like: "First, ensure that your store is eligible for the Local Selling program", or "Make sure you've marked specific inventory as available for local pickup", etc. However, I can not find anywhere to either "do" or "learn" about those things.

Any additional, specific information you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
