Parents/child separated
I have a parent child listing with the children separated from the parent. The children were under the parent for years but somehow became separated.
I have tried to correct the issue by doing an upload feed. When doing that I got the following error:
You may not create new variation relationships for this Brand. You are free to add offers to any existing ASIN for this Brand. Please review our variation relationship policy here: https://sellercentral.amazon.com/gp/help/G8831. If you believe the variation relationship you want to create is part of the ASIN family, contact Seller Support at https://sellercentral.amazon.com/hz/contact-us and mention error code 8040.
I created a case and provided the error code and the feed information. They replied:
We have completed our review and determined that the variation relationship is not approved because it does not follow Amazon's listing policy. Hence, the seller is denied for brand [my-brand]. Due to confidentiality, we cannot disclose the factors behind the decision. Please refrain from re-opening the ticket asking for these.
I have discussed this issue on the forum before and I was offered assistance by @Tatiana_Amazon. Unfortunately, I did not receive a notification of her message and missed it and now that thread has been closed.
My case number is: 12486286101
@Tatiana_Amazon, I would be very grateful if you could assist me. Also, I see that @Jim_Amazon was very helpful in this thread which also sounds like my issue. If you could do the same thing for me, I would be very grateful.
Finally, I just want to reiterate that this forum is my only hope of getting this resolved, since I have been explicitly told not to open a new case. Please help me.
Thanks in advance!

Hi there @Seller_9YA4EB3IcSjEQ,
I apologize for the long time you have had this issue. I know you were told not to create a new case on this issue but given the extreme age of this case I would still recommend that you reach out to Seller Support in a new case. I will not be able to escalate an issue of this age.
You can provide the new Case ID here and I will monitor and escalate if needed. I would ensure that you include all relevant ASINs, your Brand Name and ensure that all the members of the variation share a category.
If you were told not to open this issue again can you please provide the Case ID as it does not appear you were told that in your original case.
Thank you for your understanding.
