SELLERS CAN WE COME TOGETHER AND SUE AMAZON FOR THESE FRAUDULENT AND UNFAIR RETURN HANDLING/

Sellers, i see these complains about unfair returns and Amazon providing their platform as a means for scam buyers to buy product free of charge. I saw a thread on twitter where people were discsussing how its so easy to return a product on amazon. Some even said that if they need anything, they just go to amazon, order it and request for a return/refund, that way they get the item free of charge. this is outright stealing and amazon doesn't care because they have nothing to loose, they just keep taking fees. If the seller community unanimously sue amazon, we could get a settlement for this stress and disregard of sellers. This will also force them to revise their policies. This is getting out of hand for sellers.

Funny, I never lose a product for "free". Some how magically I actually make Amazon return each item. It's crazy it's like my return and FBA settings some how told Amazon , don't ever do a no return refund, do not liquidate, ship back to me. It's almost like I have this dashboard and i can see these returns and I can create a removal order directly back to me.

Wild, it's like if they did do one, a no return refund, I can just file a claim and get paid.

It's almost like I stay on top of my returns, after 45 days I file a case and after 60 I use that case to file for reimbursement and magically some how I get paid.

It's almost like you never read or pay attention to anything about selling on here. Like you just listed a bunch of junk and now you're not happy.

You didn't even pay attention to the agreement saying you can't sue them and you signed it again when you opted into FBA. I am sure with enough people though you can SUE! Judge will magically allow it. lol good luck buddy.

It's true. Scammer are out there taking advantage of Amazon outrageous return policy. And Amazon wont do nothing about it. Probably 5% of their overall sales. They force sellers to consider as theft at a retail store where is inevitable.

What exactly do we expect Amazon to do in this situation? Do we honestly think they’re going to invest thousands of dollars and valuable resources to launch a full-scale investigation over someone who managed to get away with a free $20 item? The reality is that from Amazon’s perspective, the cost of pursuing such a case far outweighs the value of the item in question.

Logistically speaking, what would that even look like? Are we expecting Amazon to dedicate a fraud investigation team, pull transaction records, contact law enforcement, and track down the buyer—all for something that costs less than a dinner at a fast-food restaurant? The sheer manpower, legal considerations, and administrative burden involved in chasing down every minor refund or return scam would be completely unsustainable at the scale Amazon operates.

At the end of the day, Amazon’s focus is on maintaining a streamlined shopping experience, not micromanaging every low-dollar dispute. Their system is built to absorb minor losses like this rather than disrupt operations with costly investigations that would never provide a return on investment. While fraudulent refunds are frustrating, the unfortunate truth is that unless it becomes a pattern of abuse, Amazon simply isn’t going to act on this. We as sellers need to find a way to minimize this ourselves. perhaps switching out high return/refund products from our catalogs.
