Serialize your own products? You can now enroll in Transparency even faster

What is Transparency?

Transparency is a brand protection program that uses secure, unique codes to identify individual units and prevent counterfeit and inaccurate products from reaching customers.

If you are new to Transparency or want to learn more, watch this video series for step-by-step introduction.

What's new?

Up until now, in order to enroll in Transparency, brands applied Amazon-issued Transparency codes to their products. Brands that already serialize their products told us that adding additional codes to their packaging increased the cost and complexity of their operations. Inspired by that feedback, we are excited to launch interoperability for Amazon Transparency, allowing brands to have access to Transparency protections using their existing, unique serial numbers.

With your existing serial numbers, you can now enroll in Transparency, which allows you to:

Create a consistent experience: Ensure that only authentic and accurate units are shipped to customers in Amazon stores. Whether fulfilled by Amazon or shipped directly by selling partners, products that are enrolled in Transparency cannot be listed on Amazon or shipped without valid codes.

Increase efficiency: Enable Transparency protections in as little as two weeks by using the serial numbers your brand is already applying, reducing cost and effort.

Optimize packaging space: By using your existing QR, 1D, or 2D serial number barcodes, you do not need to add Transparency codes to your packaging design, thereby reducing content on your packaging.
