Amazon changing the ASIN's on my sku's
Is anyone else having issues with Amazon changing the ASIN’s for your SKU’s? They have done it to me twice in the last few weeks and their only resolution is that I recall the products. So they change the ASINS, totally mess up their own catalog and the sellers are the ones at fault and the ones paying for their bots going nuts.
Here’s my first example: (and before the troll’s come out, yes, I do have authorization to sell the products and yes, I get them from a very reputable distributor in Texas.)

I was selling PEZ Star Wars characters in blister packs. I look through my inventory and see a blue Disney Aladdin…I don’t sell these, so I started to investigate. I opened cases, called and called and hours later they said there had not been a merge of the ASIN’s then they decided there had been a merge. Then they decided that as I didn’t own the brand PEZ I could no longer discuss this issue with them and must recall my products and delete my listings! Here is a sample of a few of my sold listings. The second image is the Amazon page the product link now takes you to:

You can see what a mess this is because when I recalled the product, it showed I was recalling 2 Chewbacca. I don’t sell Chewbacca products either. The worst part of course is that it costs more to recall the product than they are worth to just replace. And what do I do with the shipment of PEZ products sitting here? There is no listing to sell them on and when I enter the UPC guess what comes up…not Boba Fett.
Now Amazon Bots have done it again. This time with a product that I like much more and is much more profitable, or it was. And to compound the problem, they did it while I had a pending order for 5 units. And not only did they change the product ASIN, they promptly removed the incorrect product/ASIN from the catalog!
This is what I sell SKU: QI-Y1V7-BBNO

This is what they replaced it with: (same SKU: QI-Y1V7-BBNO)

I have made numerous phone calls. They tell me they will do this or that, hang up and then I get notified that the product can’t be “remapped”. I have no idea what that means other than the fact that they aren’t going to fix anything this time either. I reopen the case and start all over again.
After over an hour on the phone today Catalog team says they can’t talk to me about it because the product is listed as FBA. I must talk to FBA about it. I said wait…Isn’t changing the ASINS something the catalog people do. He said yes but your products are listed FBA so we have to send this back over to them…I was transferred this way several times. I finally got the last young man I spoke to, to agree to find where my products are and do a bin check. I have tried, I can’t ask for a bin check from my end because the detail page is removed.
Not five minutes later I get the email…recall your products. Wait…what about the pending sale? What about the bin check. I am absolutely at a loss over this mess. Anyone who has gone through this and knows the answer, please help.

ASINs of 2 SKUs were changed a few times last year. We opened a case and none from Amazon can explain it. Then we gave up.
