Someone Stole my UPC (I bought from GS1) and Amazon Seller Support Isn't Helpful
Someone stole our entire prefix that we bought from GS1 and is using our remaining barcodes that we've already purchased, which makes it impossible to list our new product. I would just purchase another one, but we've had the barcode printed on thousands of products already. Amazon Seller Support is giving me template answers that aren't helpful at all, even though I've given them our GS1 prefix certificate and screenshots of all the issues.
One of the main issues is that the barcode is apparently associated with the theif's inactive ASIN, so even though I have the ASIN in the error message (when trying to list), it won't pop up in the catalog or an infringement report (which means I can't even submit an infringement report through our brand registry account). Without escalating this to legal help, what more can I do? We're losing revenue everyday on our thousands of units sitting in storage. Ugh. Thank you in advance for any insights!

We have the same issue. This is out of a lot of 100 purchased from GS1. All was fine from 0 to 65. We got stuck at 66.
The listing that the code was used for is not coming up when entering the ASIN in the Amazon search bar.
After numerous back and forth with Amazon, and after providing the documents asked for twice (GS1 licensing document and our USPTO trademark certificate) we were notified that the case was referred to an "internal team."
After about a week we got an email asking for... you guessed it. The GS1 prefix document and the USPTO trademark certificate.
We provided it for the third time. Were told again to be patient while the internal team is investigating.
We opened the case on June 16th. I do not understand what takes so long.
Anyway we went to the next number on the list. same error. The one after that was fine.
Then we did another listing and the next available number had again the same conflicting error. Had to skip again.
GS1 is not cheap. It is upsetting when you cannot use what you paid for and continue to pay annually to keep it.
