Hi!
Hope you're well,
I was just wondering for those with more experience if they find prime week to be a quiet week when they haven't participated in deals or maybe in a sector that wasn't being pushed so hard?
We've just come off the back of our best two weeks yet and sales have absolutely plummeted!
This is our second prime day since launching on amazon, the first was only a month or so in to our Amazon journey and sales slightly slumped back then!
I always find Prime day/week to be quiet on here. I don't participate and my items are not really what people are looking for deals on.
However my own website and Etsy have been VERY busy. Apart from a day off to get my van sorted.
I think you will get. multitude of different answers as it will depend on what you are selling, our sales are up this week by a fair bit, and we don't offer any discounts or deals during Prime week, same with Black Friday, we don't offer any discounts but usually get a very busy weekend anyway.
I also do not participate however I had my best day ever on the 10th which I was thrilled about followed by my best day ever again on the 11th (only a fiver more than the 10th but ill take it)
Guess its just down to increased footfall to the site
I think the only people that think Prime Week is a thing are Amazon insiders. Don't recall anyone ever mentioning it to me other than that...
The increased traffic should be of benefit to everyone, regardless of deals or discounts.
Though this increased traffic is a double-edged sword as PPC spend can be consumed very quickly.
