Request for Assistance with Lost Shipment and VTR Impact
Dear Amazon Seller Support Team,
I am writing to request your assistance with an issue affecting my Valid Tracking Rate (VTR) due to lost shipments handled by USPS for self-shipped orders.
Three orders, with delivery dates of December 6 and December 9, were shipped on time, and valid tracking information was provided. Unfortunately, USPS has informed me that the packages were lost in transit. I have initiated a Missing Mail Search with USPS and am taking steps to address the situation with my buyers, including offering refunds or replacements.
To ensure this issue does not negatively impact my VTR or result in late shipment penalties, I kindly request:
Exemption for these orders from VTR calculation due to the lost shipments, as the delays were outside my control.
Guidance on how to properly update the tracking status for these orders in Seller Central.
Any additional recommendations on resolving this issue with minimal impact on my seller metrics.

Thank you for the information provided regarding the recent issues you have seen with your valid tracking rate. I understand that you recently had some shipping issues that resulted in packages lost and an impact to your VTR metric. I know this can be frustrating as you did drop off the packages as you were meant to, but are still seeing these issues with the carrier.
Our team will not be able to provide any kind of exemption for this situation, but we will encourage you to monitor the specific orders that were impacted and how. If a request is made for more information, then you would want to provide the information that you have surrounding the situation and what occurred. The impact will only exist on the metric for 30 days before you see the orders fall out of the time window the metric is reflecting.
We would advise on monitoring the metric and referring back to this thread if you do have any follow up questions or updates to share.
