(FIFO) First in First out, that is an inventory management rule
FBA dont follow Management Inventory rules and of course you get punnished due to that:
When you use FBA you send your product to amazon fullfilment center to manage your stock and handle the shipping, but it is not sure they following properly, your product that got there first should ship first and if an item get lost, missplace and it put back into location whoever is doing that must check condition fisical and date before placing it back to stock to be ship.
I got a remove listing due to that, i was out of stock because the supplier was out of stock for few month too, i just got the product in august 22, 2023; 2 days after the supplier got it, but surprise i got a complain that cause my item to be remove in september, this week i received 3 items expired in september 2022, the return was process in 7-22-23, this is what concern me why you subscribed to automatic removal, why you register the date in the shipment, why i place a label with expiration date in it for everybody who handle can see it, now i pay for label resizer where i can ad details as follow:
1.- Sold as Set
2.- expiration date in the bottom of the scanable label.
FBA cost more money and we use it to serve customer fast and for those who does not have that time to ship directly, i now amazon take responsability, but it is obvious this an Amazon issue you get a sanction for something that may not be your mistake, it is suppose they have to manage your stock properly and if something got in first should ship first.
my appeal of course was denied, now i see why.

It has long been known that Amazon does not use FIFO; nor does Amazon state or imply anywhere that they do.
If you are selling Expiry dated products, then you need to assign a new SKU to each new batch, so that you can control which batch is available for sale.
I don't have this issue, so I know only the basic concept; perhaps someone else can provide more details of the best procedure (sadly, most of the best in this have left the forum; you might find advice on the Sellers Ask Sellers forum)

Hi there @Seller_BtGbPbIGvgWIL, I see in addition to Nisha's reply above my colleague Dominic also answered your reply on another thread here.
I also recommend checking out this thread from last month where multiple sellers replied with their perspectives and systems they employ.
