The category/browse node for my best selling ASIN was suddenly changed by Amazon and I can't change it back

The category/browse node of the affected ASIN was changed approximately 3 weeks ago. Because of this, our sales have TANKED. This was a best selling item in Handmade Dangle and Drop Earrings, and it has been taken out of the handmade section completely. If the goal of the correct browse node is for customers to find a handmade item, removing it from handmade is achieving opposite results.

We already opened a case (Case ID: 13026979321) to have the ASIN moved under the correct category but Seller Support said that they can't change the category because they claimed that the "product is assigned to the current category based on the detail page and how Amazon customers find products through search and browse." I re-opened the case and pleaded for someone to really look at it to see that the handmade item needs to be put back in handmade. I am unable to get any response from Seller Support on this. It is dramatically affecting sales and am desperate for any help.

Hoping that someone or the Amazon mods can help me with this since our sales have been severely affected.

another case of "the bot decided, the bod is the Amazon God, the bot is always right. The bot is such a powerful manager, meaningless humans have no power to tell the bot it's wrong.

This happens all the time now, happened to me, happened to everyone and nobody at "support" is willing or able to look at the evidence at hand and make a decision that overwrites said Bot God.

Did you put "handmade" in your title? If not put it in there and the bot may eventually decide it belongs in handmade.

Maybe you get super super lucky, a mod responds, forwards it to the catalog "team" and said team actually responds and even fixes it. However, even then there have been many complaints that the bot moved it back a week or two later.

I'm sorry you had such a trial with your product category. I've reviewed your case and your product detail page and it looks like your product is now in the category you expected and in Handmade! Sometimes it takes some time for the attributes to update but with the right information Seller Support should be able to update many product categories. Good luck selling!
