Return/Refund

Hey guys, when a customer returns a product or you have an return request, should you wait for the customer to send you back the item before issuing a refund. I know I should probably wait if I haven't asked the customer to keep the item, but I was curious what the right decision is. Also if the return is auto-approved/authorized

Unless something is out of your hands (refund upon scan of Amazon return label) -- you should never refund before receiving a return. Once the buyer has their refund they have zero motivation to return the item -- and don't.

Great feedback from an experienced seller and member of the community. Also, dropping the help page that does explicitly recommending waiting until return is received, also confirming the advice from @bookwormapril.
